plus a 60-day blood test for all applicable animals according to D.A.F.R.D regulations.

Pre-conditions for entry to all qualifier classes – Show Championships and RDS Champion of Champion Awards.
(A) Owner of each animal exhibited, must be a member of the Irish Angus Cattle Society for a minimum period of 3 months preceeding the Irish Angus Cattle Society All Ireland Finals at Strokestown Show on September 8th 2012 and each animal entered must also have been registered in the owners name in the herd book of the Irish Angus Cattle Society for a minimum period of 3 months preceeding the Irish Angus Cattle Society All Ireland finals at Strokestown Show.
For each individual qualifying show owner of each animal exhibited must be a member of the Irish Angus Cattle Society and each animal entered must also have been registered in the owners name in the herd book of the Irish Angus Cattle Society.
(B) Date of birth & Tag number/Herd Book number must be clearly shown for each entry and this information shall be displayed in the Show catalogue
(C) All exhibitors must have their Irish Angus Cattle Society Herd Book certificate available for production to the Irish Angus Cattle Society’s representative in accordance with the requirements of clause A above.
Qualifier for Irish Angus All Ireland Senior Male Championship & Senior Female Championship
All Pedigree Angus Cattle born before 1/9/11 and satisfying the above pre- conditions are eligible. One or more qualifiers to go forward to the All Ireland Irish Angus Senior Championship final on September 8th 2012 at Strokestown Show.

MALE AND FEMALE OF THE YEAR COMPETITIION 2012
&
R.D.S. CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS
The purpose of this competition is to reward pedigree Limousin animals and their owners for the promotion of the breed throughout the summer show season. There are three categories for which animals are eligible based on their date of birth.
The animal gaining the highest points across the three categories will be awarded the title of R.D.S. Champion of Champions.
Categories:
- Male of the Year – for male animals born after 1st September 2010 (No Senior Bull Class at Iverk).
- Senior Female of the Year – for females born before 1st September 2010.
- Junior Female of the Year – for females born on or after 1st September 2010.
- The R.D.S. Champion of Champions will be the animal gaining the most points in sections A – C outlined above.
Selected Shows & Dates: - Athlone, Cappamore, Elphin, Clonmel, Charleville, Corofin, Iverk, National Limousin Show, Tydavnet, Mullingar, Longford, Ossory, Strokestown, Bonniconlon, Tinahely, Trim, Virginia, Tullamore, Limerick.
Rules:
- Points can be attained from a maximum of eight shows from the above list.
- Only one class qualifies you at each show.
- Please forward full IE number of each animal to secretary of Limousin Society before 31st May 2012. All entries must be made in writing. €2 entry fee will apply to all entries.
- The points awarded per show will be First prize (8 points), Second prize (5 points), Third prize (3 points). Breed Champion (6 points) and Reserve Breed Champion (4 points).
- Double points will be awarded in the classes at the National Limousin Show being held at Tullamore Show. There will be no double points for Breed Champion or Reserve Breed Champion at this event.
- In the event of a tie in categories A, B or C the animal gaining the highest placing at the National Limousin Show will be deemed the winner.
- Disputes/Objections must be in writing to the secretary of the society and will be dealt with by the shows and sales sub-committee of the ILCS.
- The prizes of a perpetual plaque will be presented to the three overall winners at the Annual General Meeting in November.
- The prizes for the R.D.S. Champion of Champions consist of a Perpetula Cup, Silver Medal and a cash prize of €1,000 which will be presented at a special ceremony in the R.D.S. in late 2012. This Awarding of R.D.S. Champion of Champions yet to be confirmed for 2012.
